I am a mother, I am a father, I am a son, I am a daughter. I am a doctor, a lawyer, an Indian chief. I am this, I am that. These are the stories we tell ourselves. This is how we identify who we are, but are we really these things? These are just labels we tell us and the world how we see ourselves in relation to others. But who are we really?
The truth is, we are the I AM that comes before the label, that which comes before the concept we perceive ourselves to be. These labels and concepts are things outside ourselves that we are in constant search of. Stop the searching and know who you truly are, that silence or pause that comes between the I AM and what comes after it. In that silent stillness you will know that you are THAT. In that realization all labels dissolve and all that is left is THAT…I AM. You Are That.
